Continuation of on-campus instruction

On Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, the Provincial Health Officer sent a letter to the college and university presidents regarding the continuation of on-campus instruction for post-secondary institutions.

In the聽letter, Dr. Bonnie Henry advises that we continue to see lower risk in structured seated settings and given the 鈥渄isproportionate adverse impacts of the pandemic on our young adults鈥 we are urged to prioritize on-campus instruction. You can read a copy of the letter聽here.

The college continues to monitor the situation and take a public-health informed approach, including direction from the Provincial Health Officer, BC Government, Island Health and WorkSafeBC.

To continue to provide a safe campus environment, there are several steps we can all take:

  1. Most importantly,聽.
  2. Conduct a daily COVID-19聽聽and follow聽聽as appropriate.
  3. Limit social activity.
  4. 贵辞濒濒辞飞听mask-wearing protocols.
  5. Be kind, patient and respectful to each other.

The college鈥檚 recommendation on what employees and students should do when they need to self-isolate remains the same, including the聽voluntary notification process听迟辞听OHS@camosun.ca聽to support monitoring on-campus exposure and potential outbreak management.
